Instructor Sections:Specific information and assignment archives for individual sections of Advanced IDC: Course Description:This course is designed to advance and reinforce presentation techniques and graphic technical skills introduced in Interior Design Communications. Students will continue to develop their proficiency in free-hand sketching, rendering and perspective, and will learn various three-dimensional rendering software and other digital imaging techniques.
This class is studio intensive.
Course Goals:
Through this semester, we will continue to investigate and re-investigate the skills and tools required to clearly communicate the interior environment. Keep the following questions in mind as you work through this semester:
- How can you use 3-dimension modeling software as a design tool to test various ideas in the design studio?
- How can you combine hand rendering and 3D software to clearly communicate your interior design ideas? How can you combine digital rendering and 3D software to clearly communicate your interior design ideas?
- What are the similarities between the hand rendering process and the digital rendering process? What are the differences?
- What steps are involved to create a presentation quality product using a combination of hand rendering and digital software?
